三藩市灣區，相對北美其他地區，華人是比較密集，很多初代來到的華人，他們所經營的店舖、餐廳都會有中文名字。取名簡單直接易記不花巧，給人一種踏實經營的感覺。

而其實所謂踏實經營，就是每天重複地做一樣事情，簡單地累積經驗，過程或許偶然會有些驚喜或枝節，但過後也是希望繼續重複地做自己喜愛的事。

有一陣子沒有分享簡約生活的心情，也不知道為什麼暫停了分享，正當思考要如何重拾之際，就在街頭看見這餐廳，令我憶起一位朋友曾經說過喜歡看到這些文字。既然遇上了，也好像是重新分享的好開始。

In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Chinese community is more concentrated than in many other parts of North America. Many first-generation immigrants run shops and restaurants with Chinese names. These names are plain and direct, easy to remember and unpretentious. They give off a feeling of solidity and honest, steady work.

In a way, that’s what “steady work” really is: doing the same thing day after day, quietly building up experience. Now and then, there are small surprises or detours, but once they pass, what we hope for is still the same—to keep doing the things we love, over and over again.

It’s also been a while since I last shared anything about simple living. I’m not even sure why I stopped. Just as I was wondering how to begin again, I came across this restaurant on the street, and it reminded me of a friend who once said they loved seeing words like these. Since I’ve run into it now, it feels like the perfect place to start sharing again.
